This book has been developed in accordance with the latest Ministry of Education teaching objectives and content of the ‘Chinese Language Syllabus for Primary Levels’, to allow students to build a strong foundation in Chinese language through practice in enhancing students’ ability in recognizing the form, pronunciation and meaning of Chinese characters; their knowledge and usage of Chinese words (including idioms and idiomatic expressions); and sentence structures. Key feature in this book includes a total of 8 useful word/phrase lists to help in essay writing.

本书根据《小学华文课程标准》的相关教学目标及教学内 容编制而成。学生们可通过本书进行全面的练习，打好华文基 础，提高对汉字形、音、义的辨析能力，对词语的认识和运用
（包括成语和习惯用语），以及对句子结构的认识和运用等方 面的能力。本书的一大特色是词语复习表。全书共有8 个词语复习表，其中小三1 个、小四1 个、小五4 个、小六2 个，包含了课本 《欢乐伙伴》中全部的识读字和识写字。学生可通过熟读、听写词语复习表的方式，复习考试范围内的词语和词组，为PSLE 做好充足的准备。
